We’re recruiting Software Engineers...
Synchro Arts, a world leader in audio processing technology, is expanding its software development team. We develop sophisticated audio processing applications and plug-ins for Windows and macOS.
Our software is used globally by major TV, film and music producers and we were awarded an Emmy for Excellence in Technology and Engineering in 2018.
We are looking for highly motivated and adaptable Software Engineers, with at least 2-3 years’ experience, to join our cutting-edge research team ASAP based in our office at Falmer, East Sussex. If you’re the right fit, you will have opportunities for management experience and great career progression.
You will be working within a friendly, world-class team who provide innovative and time-saving audio processing tools to TV and film audio editors and music producers. A passion for music and digital audio technology is a real plus, even if you haven’t worked in the industry before.
We don’t expect you to know our products inside out: we’ll teach you.
Having a degree is less important to us than your coding ability. We’ll be interested to look at some programs that you’ve developed, to see what you can do.
You’ll need to have a thorough working knowledge of the following:
Standard Template Library
Platform Specific Requirements:
(we’re happy to accept either)
UI development using core foundation.
Plug-in Development for VST3, Audio Unit, AAX Audiosuite, ARA
Familiarity with Digital Audio Workstations (Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase etc)
Source Code Management using Helix Core
Authoring Wix Installers
Managing Development Certificates
Experience of writing user-manuals
An experience of working on cross platform development will be an advantage.
Your role and responsibilities
As a key member of our research and development team, you will help develop the next generation of our flagship products on mac and windows, supporting a wide range of DAWs.
You’ll help to develop and categorise our next generation of machine-learning products.
Your key attributes
You must be able to communicate effectively as you’ll be working on projects that will involve sharing large quantities of code across platforms with other people.
You’ll be working in a small group so it is essential that you are a team-player, that you’re well-organised and can work to deadlines.
We value creative thinking, so if you come up with good ideas, we’ll be keen to hear them. We’d like you to be able to meet audio engineers to gather and interpret their requirements once you’re familiar with our products. You’ll need to be self-motivated and happy to work in a small company environment.
We’re an expanding company and we offer a great work/life balance for our employees.
You must be eligible to work in the UK.
The salary for these full-time, permanent roles will start at £40,000 per annum, depending upon your experience, with a discretionary annual performance bonus and contributory pension scheme. You will be entitled to 4 weeks’ holiday, excluding bank holidays.
Synchro Arts is an equal opportunities employer.
