Hit US TV Shows Get The Revoice Pro Treatment - Billy Jay Stein
Billy Jay Stein tells us about his work and why he is a Synchro Arts user.
How did you get into audio production?
Growing up in the early 1980s, I had a small studio with a Moog Source keyboard, Korg Polysix keyboard, and two Sanyo tape decks rigged together to create two-track mixes. I used this equipment to record my own songs as well as my rock band's songs in high school so I guess you can say I have always been into audio production!
What projects have you been working on recently?
Most recently, I have been the Electronic Music Designer for 2 Broadway productions (Jekyll and Hyde and Flashdance). I have also been producing music for several tv shows in the US including Pawn Stars and Duck Dynasty and more recently had Neon Hitch and Mika working at my studio as well...
Which Synchro Arts products do you use for audio processing?
I am currently using Revoice Pro.
Why do you use our products?
Amazing ease of use and high quality.
What do you find most useful about our products?
I first used VocAlign back in 2005 when I was producing a cast recording of the Broadway show Altar Boyz. The songs had tonnes of 5 part harmonies and it had to sound tight and polished. VocAlign saved the project!
Is there a go-to feature you keep going back to our product for?
Definitely background vocal tightening.
